The Fabulous Essentials

The Fabulous Essentials band was formed in 1989 by Bob Thompson. The band pooled talent from Portland's top journeyman musicians. Original members played in such memorable bands as The Burnside Bombers, Wheatfield, The Odds, The Moondogs, and The Bunko Blues Band.

The band features seasoned performer Lisa Tyack on lead vocals. Lisa combines her fabulous vocal talent with engaging stage energy. Lisa's rendition of current hits, rock n roll classics, and heart-wrenching ballads is the crowning jewel in the band's lineup.

The Essentials band consists of Vancouver guitar master Matt Killeen on guitar and vocals, Bob Thompson on bass and vocals, Steve Shroy on drums, and Pat Dull (Mr. Buddy Love) on keyboards and vocals.

The band also features the Scappoose Horns. The horn section has been known to leave the stage to join the crowd on the dance floor for high-spirited New Orleans style revelry. The Scappoose horns are lead by Jim Turner on trumpet, Bob Anderson on saxes, and Brad Elliott on trumpet and trombone.
